Getting in touch

The fastest way to get help is email, and a little detail goes a long way.

Email us

support@itch.studio

When reporting a problem, it helps enormously if you can include your iPhone model, your iOS version, the PoeticÁI version (shown on the About screen inside the app), and what you were doing when it happened. Screenshots are always welcome. Messages sent to the app's original address, poeticai@poeticai.info, reach the same team.

Common questions

Answers to the things people ask us most.

01

My poem never arrived

Poems are written by an AI model over the internet, so PoeticÁI needs a connection while it's crafting. Check you're online and tap Retry. If it keeps happening on a good connection, email us with the time it occurred and we'll investigate.

02

What do credits actually buy?

Illustrations, and nothing else. Writing poems is free. A credit is spent when you add an AI-painted illustration to a poem, and buying any pack also removes the advertising banners. Credits never expire and are never a subscription.

03

I bought credits but don't see them

Open the credits screen and tap Restore Purchases, making sure you're signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. If a purchase is awaiting family approval, your credits arrive automatically once it's approved. Still missing? Email us.

04

Where are my poems stored?

On your device. Your history, favourites and edits stay on your iPhone, so deleting the app removes them. If you're switching phones, make sure your device backup is up to date first.

05

Can I change a poem after it's written?

Yes. Open any poem and choose Edit poem to rework its title or text: your version replaces the original on your device. You can also ask for a new illustration if the first painting isn't right.

06

A poem or image seems off

AI-generated content can occasionally miss the mark. Poems and images are for entertainment, and shouldn't be taken as fact or advice. If something generated feels inappropriate, email us with a screenshot: we genuinely want to know.

Purchases, billing and refunds.

Illustration credits are one-off purchases in packs of 6, 20, 40 or 100, handled by Apple through the App Store, so we never see or store your payment details. Nothing in PoeticÁI renews automatically.

One-off, not a subscription

Credits are a single purchase: they never expire, nothing recurs, and there is no plan to cancel. Buying any pack also removes advertising banners from the app. If you reinstall or move to a new iPhone, tap Restore Purchases on the credits screen to bring your balance back.

Refunds

Because Apple processes all App Store purchases, refunds are handled by Apple rather than by us. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

If something in the app went wrong and led to the purchase, do tell us as well. We cannot issue the refund ourselves, but we can usually fix the underlying problem.

Privacy and terms

The documents behind the app.

Policies

Read the PoeticÁI privacy policy for exactly what the app does and doesn't collect, and the PoeticÁI terms of use for the terms that govern it. Our general app terms of use cover every Itch Studio app and apply alongside them.

A word on AI content

Poems and images are generated by AI for entertainment and inspiration. They can be surprising, occasionally odd, and are no substitute for a human poet. Content you generate belongs to you; treat it as a first draft and make it your own.

Still stuck?

If your question isn't answered here, just email us. We would rather hear from you than have you guessing.

Feature requests are genuinely welcome too. If there's a poet, a form or an idea you wish PoeticÁI had, tell us: the refresh came from exactly that kind of note.
