Bluetooth Itch for iPhone

Every Bluetooth device around you, in real time.

Bluetooth Itch turns your iPhone into a proper BLE scanner. It recognises what each device actually is, tracks its signal live, and when something goes missing, the haptic radar walks you to it.

See it running

A scan, a signal graph and a radar sweep, in under a minute.

Description of this film

Fourteen seconds, music, no speech. Someone has lost a pair of wireless earbuds. They open Bluetooth Itch on an iPhone, pick the earbuds out of the list of nearby devices and switch to the radar finder. As they sweep the phone across the room the signal climbs, the radar closes in and the haptics beat harder the warmer they get, until they reach into the sofa and pull the earbuds out from between the cushions. The film ends on the Bluetooth Itch app icon with a Download on the App Store button.

What Bluetooth Itch does

A scanner that names what it finds, shows you the signal, and then helps you go and get it.

01

It knows what it's looking at

Most scanners hand you a wall of hex. Bluetooth Itch reads the advertisement and tells you it's an AirPods Pro, an Apple Watch, a heart-rate monitor or a keyboard, with the right icon and the manufacturer beside it.

02

Signal you can actually read

Every device carries a live strength meter and its raw RSSI in dBm, so you can tell at a glance what's on the desk in front of you and what's two rooms away.

03

Radar for the thing you've lost

Open the radar on any device and walk. It runs hot and cold as you get closer, buzzes in your hand as the signal climbs, and after a sweep it points you roughly the right way.

04

The raw data is still there

Under every device sits the full advertisement payload, manufacturer data and a browsable GATT service and characteristic tree. Useful when you're debugging your own hardware rather than hunting earbuds.

05

Favourites that stay put

Pin the devices you care about, give them names that mean something to you, and they float to the top of every scan instead of getting lost in the noise.

06

Alerts when things come and go

Bluetooth Itch can watch your favourites in the background and tell you the moment one appears or drops off, so you know when you've walked away from something.

Dense with detail when you want it, quiet when you don't.

Your data stays yours

Bluetooth Itch has no account and no server of its own. Scans, favourites and logs live on your device and are never uploaded. No tracking, no analytics, no data collection.

What a scanner can and can't see

Bluetooth Itch shows public BLE advertisements: the same broadcasts any nearby device can pick up. It doesn't connect to devices you don't own, and signal strength is an estimate of distance, not a precise location.
